Jackson & Madison County Data Center Construction
TCG builds data center shells, powered shells, and supporting critical infrastructure across the Jackson metro and Madison County, and self-performs the insulated metal panel envelope these buildings rely on.
Data center construction in central Mississippi spans roughly $275 to $1,100 per square foot depending on tier, density, and mechanical scope. Madison County, just outside Jackson, anchors Amazon Web Services' planned $25 billion Mississippi data center investment. TCG self-performs the insulated metal panel envelope that data halls depend on. This is a capability statement, not a claim of an AWS contract.
A Critical-Infrastructure Builder for Mississippi's Data Center Decade
Mississippi has become one of the most active data center markets in the country. Amazon Web Services has committed a planned $25 billion statewide, anchored by the Madison County campuses near Canton and Ridgeland, plus a Hinds County conversion of the former Delphi plant and a Warren County campus. More than 75 Mississippi companies are already engaged in that construction, and the supporting build-out, shells, support buildings, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, runs for years.
TCG builds in this space as a design-build general contractor and self-performs the discipline at the core of fast, repeatable data center delivery: the insulated metal panel envelope. With over 1,000,000 SF of IMP installed nationally, TCG handles the panelized envelope, support structures, and critical-infrastructure scopes that hyperscale and enterprise projects demand on tight schedules.
What TCG Builds
Powered Shells
Data center shells and powered shells built for speed and repeatability, with panelized envelopes and the structure to carry mechanical and electrical loads.
IMP Envelope
Insulated metal panel walls and roofs self-performed by TCG crews, the fast, weather-tight, thermally sound envelope data centers rely on.
Support & Admin Buildings
Administration, security, electrical, and support buildings that surround a campus, delivered on the same schedule as the core.
Critical Infrastructure
Coordination of the structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes that critical-infrastructure facilities require, under a single design-build contract.
Data Centers Cost Ranges in Mississippi
Budgetary ranges for the Jackson and central Mississippi market, which runs among the lowest in the country at roughly 0.80 to 0.90x the national average. Every project is different. For a number calibrated to your scope, run the AI estimator or book a call.
$25 Billion Is Building in Mississippi, Much of It Next Door
Amazon Web Services has committed a planned $25 billion to data centers in Mississippi, with the flagship Madison County campuses near Canton and Ridgeland, the single largest capital investment in state history, plus projects in Hinds and Warren counties. The first campuses target completion in 2027.
TCG builds data center shells and critical infrastructure, and self-performs the insulated metal panel envelope these buildings depend on. That is a capability statement, not a claim of an AWS contract, but it is the exact scope, panelized envelope on a fast schedule, that the Mississippi data center surge is buying by the acre.
Building Data Centers in Central Mississippi
Canton and the Madison County corridor sit minutes from Jackson, and the data center build-out there has pulled in more than 75 Mississippi construction firms. TCG knows the corridor, the permitting path through Madison County and the City of Jackson, and the logistics advantages of the I-55 and I-20 crossroads.
Mississippi construction runs among the lowest cost in the country, roughly 0.80 to 0.90x national, with aggressive state incentives, the same tools that landed AWS, and a competitive subcontractor base with growing data center experience.

300,000 SF Data Center Support Campus, North of Dallas
TCG erected and insulated three 100,000 SF pre-engineered metal buildings for the staging and storage campus of a new data center north of Dallas, Texas. Building 1 went from start of steel erection to sign-off in 41 days, and the full campus finished 30 days ahead of schedule.

On a data center campus the support buildings come first: staging, equipment storage, and laydown have to be dried in before long-lead electrical and mechanical gear arrives for the data hall. Crews ran early morning and night shifts under light towers, with roof panels, wall cladding, and insulation moving in parallel instead of in sequence.
TCG brings the same schedule-first crews and PEMB and IMP self-perform capability to data center projects in Jackson.
- Scope: PEMB steel erection, roof and wall panels, and insulation
- Use: staging and equipment storage for a new data center campus
- Schedule: parallel crews on extended shifts
- Result: 300,000 SF delivered 30 days early
