Tennessee has NOT legalized adult-use recreational cannabis. The state runs a narrow medical program limited to low-THC oil (under 0.9 percent THC) with no in-state licensed cultivation or dispensary infrastructure. Hemp and CBD (under 0.3 percent THC) are legal for cultivation, processing, and retail under the federal Farm Bill and Tennessee Department of Agriculture hemp program. Yes. Tennessee hemp processing is legal under the state hemp program and the federal Farm Bill. Hemp extraction (CO2, ethanol, hydrocarbon), distillation, isolate production, and finished CBD manufacturing are all active. Cultivation holds tight temperature and humidity setpoints against aggressive internal latent loads. Nashville zone 4a drives INWARD summer vapor drive (same as Atlanta or Houston). Transformer lead times run 30 to 60 weeks. TVA pricing is generally 20 to 30 percent below national for industrial, improving cultivation operating economics.

Extraction (CO2, ethanol, hydrocarbon) needs NFPA 30 and NFPA 70 classified zoning, explosion-proof electrical, hood and exhaust ventilation, fire suppression engineered to the solvent class, and Fire Marshal review.
