Polyiso or EPS? Which core should I specify?

Polyiso delivers roughly R-7.2 to R-8 per inch versus about R-4.2 for EPS, so polyiso hits a target R-value in a thinner, lighter panel and is standard for cold storage, food, and pharma. EPS costs less per inch and is common in ambient and lightly conditioned buildings. Mineral wool is chosen when fire performance drives the assembly. IMP usually wins on schedule, thermal performance per inch, and sanitation, and it is the only practical option for deep freeze. Tilt-up can compete on cost in ambient or lightly conditioned buildings and in markets with strong concrete labor. Can TCG install panels I already purchased?

Yes. We install owner-furnished and GC-furnished panels regularly, and we will review the panel specification and shop drawings before mobilizing so nobody discovers a span or attachment problem in the field. That said, our procurement volume across seven manufacturers often beats the price an owner secured directly, so it is worth letting us quote supply as well.

What causes IMP installations to fail?

Almost always the details rather than the panels: a missing thermal break at the slab, sealant skipped or applied outside its temperature window, incorrect fastener torque that dimples the skin, unsealed penetrations at doors and refrigeration lines, and panels specified thinner than the design temperature requires.
